WHAT'S BUGGING YOU?

Nothing is more detrimental to your plant's health than an insect infestation.  Left untreated, these pests can leave your once healthy plant looking like something ready for the compost heap.   

     Early detection is the key to fighting any insect problem.  The sooner you notice a problem, The easier it will be to eradicate.  Carefully inspect your plants each week and look for the following pests:

MEALYBUG: White " cottony " masses on leaves or stems.
SCALE: A hard shell covering, usually brown in color, 1/6" to 1/4" in diameter. Found on leaves or stems.

SPIDER MITE: Barely visible, they cause yellow speckling of the entire leaf.  In more advanced cases, also look for wedding on leaves.

FUNGUS GNATS: Small black fly, 1/8" long, found near soil surface.  
     Once you have identified the insect pest, be sure to use the proper insecticide to control it.  Our horticultural experts can help identify "what's bugging you" and suggest proper treatment.
